poor DH.... he is the manager at Barnes & Noble. cant wait to hear his geek stories!
My best firend just took a part-time job at another B&N and text messaged me at like 7pm "You will not believe how many geeks in capes are here tonight"
the i proceeded to tell her maybe she can find a boyfriend tonight. (naturally)
my next text to follow stated "I have to wear a hat and glasses whenI'm on reg"
POOR GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i understand that jk rowlings got a lot of kids to read b/c of harry potter, but so did Dr. Seuss and i'll take one fish, two fish, red fist, blue fish ANYDAY over that damn hary potter. maybe its b/c i'm almost 30, that i cannot seem to get into the stories.

I saw a guy dressed up as mad eye moody. A 50 year old guy. Since you don't like Harry potter you won't know what I'm talking about..but it was QUITE a costume. He had a large fake bulging eye, scars, messe dup nose and of course, a cape!
it's not different than people dressing up and getting in line for the midnight showing of star wars, which some people might still think is stupid, but whatever. Anyway, I'm not ashamed to admit I just got home from a potter party, and I wore my potter quidditch jersey and potter glasses and had a great time. Loving Potter and getting excited about something doens't mean you have no social skills. Some people are just geeky in general, and some people are just geeky about certain things...there's a difference

i just cant understand the costumes and such i guess.
i dont understand it for star wars either.
MAYBE rocky horro picture show, but i think thats way different.

I don't care either!!
I find it weird to see people in capes, and wizared hats with fake glasses...
but that goes for anything..the star wars people with their light swords, and weird costumes...I just don't get it

i agree, the whole costume thing freaks me out. if you're excited about it, read the book and leave it as that.
