7 month olds and breast milk
If you pump, how much breast milk does your 7ish month old take per feeding. My son is mainly EBF but gets about 1 pumped bottle a week. He's only been taking about 6 oz. which surprises me. I figured he'd be taking more by now. Just wondering what other babies around his age are doing.

Re: 7 month olds and breast milk
Mine is 9 mos old. I BF him when I am with him, but he gets 2 or 3 bottles per day at daycare. They are 4-5 oz each, b/c that is how much I pump. I think he probably drinks less during the day than with me, but he seems to be doing fine on that eating sched.
I think that BF babies probably take less than their formula fed counterparts b/c we don't necessarily produce 9 oz in one sitting...

Re: 7 month olds and breast milk
When my son was 7 months I was working, so during day he would take 2 5 oz bottles. I always left 3, but it was extremely rare if the took them. I have read that your breast milk changes as the baby develops, so maybe it is more calorie rich and they need less. It is not like formula where you keep needing more. Plus when they add in more solids, they are not as interested in the bottle.
