One movie that scared the bejesus out of me was The Strangers with Liv Tyler.
Watched it alone. Big mistake. Than I watched it with DH. Still a big mistake

Human Centipede was awful. It was so awful that it was SO far from scary. Very dumb movie.

LOVE scary movies, watch them ALL!! I really love the first "Paranormal Activity". It was so simple yet so creepy. I also love the remake of "Last House on the Left". That freaked me out. I was on the edge of my seat.

I LOVE scary movies.
Halloween...still gets me every time
Exorcist...
The Shining...
The Grudge...freaked me out because I don't like when those ghost things move in that spastic way...when the chick was climbing down the stairs like a demented crab/ whatever. ACK!
When A Stranger Calls..."check the children". I was a babysitter in my youth...FREAKED me out big time!
Poltergeist...still afraid of clown till this day.

Omg you are crazy. I was listening to Howard stern and they talked about human centipede 2 and I almost threw up in the car. The first one was dumb but the second was made for pure shock value. The entire movie is in black and white except for one thing...and I'm not talking about blood!
As fot the original question, I agree that High Tension asvawesome. Also lobe REC, which is from Spain. The American remake called Quarantine was crap compared to the original.
Nightmare on Elm Street is still a classic that scared me as a kid. For some reason the sci fi horror movie Event Horizon always freaks me out.

God, even the commericials for this movie used to freak me out! But of course I had to see it- and then I didn't sleep for months!
I still get freaked thinking about it.

Poor JD - he got stuck watching it so they could do the longest commercial ever and Howard wouldn't do it.
That being said, I *tried* to watch the first one. I shut it off after 10 minutes. Not because it was gross, but because it was SO BORING. Just couldn't get into it.

The first Halloween movie. it still gets me everytime but god do i love this movie such a classic.
the exorcist although i have NEVER seen it i have tried and tried over and over again even in the middle of the day i cant do it it so freaking freaky it makes my stomach ache LOL
the ring terrifying.
Amityville horror the music alone in the movie gives me the chills.
