My Twins are Here!
Those of you who are friends with me on FB already know, but just wanted to share with the rest of you that my twins were born yesterday, 8/14/11 just shy of 28 weeks.
I had posted the other day about how my water broke on Wednesday. Well they were keeping me stable for a few days with all the meds, but Saturday night I started having bad contractions. I was put back on magnesium but Sunday morning the pain was getting a lot worse so they did an internal exam to check me. As soon as the dr. looked she saw a foot ready to come out.  I was immediately rushed for an emergency c-section. The whole thing happened so fast...literally from the time they saw the foot it was probably only 5 or 6 minutes until the babies were out! It was insane. All of my doctor's were amazing!
Avery Grace was born at 9:52 am weighing in at 2.2 lbs.
Ethan Michael arrived at 9:53 am and weighed 2.1 lbs.
The babies were taken to the NICU immediately where they will be for the next several weeks/months. They are doing well considering their age/size, but we still have a long road ahead of us. 
I am still in pain from the c-section but getting a little better. I finally got to see the babies this afternoon for the first time. They even let me reach in and touch Avery  I can't wait until I can actually hold them!
It is scary seeing them that tiny with so many tubes and wires...but they are still adorable with jet black hair like their daddy
