 | When you go for a pap... Sorry if TMI How long does it take to be "out of the clear". I get nuts every time I get one- and if I am going to call the office, I get crazy when I am on hold- it seems like forvever, and I get panic striken. If there was something wrong would I have heard already? It was done last Friday. They had to call the lab to make sure I was on the right meds for my UTI. When I had called the nurse on Monday it took ALL DAY to find out those answers and then she said to me all is negative..... I am so crazy- and to top it all off, I am embarassed to say this, I have never been to a man OB/GYN but had no choice, I have not gotten over that- he would have not written me my RX for my UTI without doing a pelvic exam. I guess I will just have to get over it. Message edited 8/16/2006 7:11:48 AM. | | Posted 8/16/06 7:11 AM |

 | Re: When you go for a pap... Sorry if TMI I'm not sure about the Pap question but I was just wondering why you would need a pelvic exam for a UTI?Anytime I had one, I just had a urine test and that was it.

 | Re: When you go for a pap... Sorry if TMI My gyn only calls if there's a problem, so I usually get a card in the mail saying all is ok.
I have never been to a man ob/gyn either, so don't feel so bad. I have to go to a male dr. next month for a test to see if my tubes are blocked and am dreading it.

 | Re: When you go for a pap... Sorry if TMI My office always tells me that they will call within 10 days if there is a problem. If no call, Pap is all clear. Not sure exactly how long it takes though. Hope this helps! | | Posted 8/16/06 3:17 PM |
