To reprogram the monitor:

1) Ensure monitor is switched off.
2) Insert a Test Stick into the Test Stick slot, checking the position carefully, as there will be no symbol to tell you that the Test Stick is correctly inserted.
3) Press and hold the m button while you complete steps 4, 5, and 6.
4)Press the On/Off Button to turn your Monitor on.
5) The "insert test stick" symbol will be displayed. Continue to hold the m Button and leave the Test Stick in position.
6) After approximately 15 seconds, all symbols on the Display Screen will be shown. The "insert test stick" symbol will again be displayed. The m Button can now be released and the Test Stick removed.
7) You should see the following symbols on your Display Screen '--m'. Your Monitor is now reprogrammed and ready for use.

(These are instructions from page 28 of the Instruction Booklet.)

I don't remember ever putting a test stick in to set the m button. Actually... I didn't do that.
And now I see why; these instructions are for reprogramming it. Which you probably need to do. But this is different from setting you cd.

The setting of the cd is a little different. You hold the m button down and you will see a cd 1 flash... keep holding it, then you see cd 2 flash... keep holding until you come to the cd you are on.

What CD is this for you? I forget the number but you can only set the CD up to a certain day... I thought it was cd3. So if you are on cd4 then you lost out on using it this month. But again, I forget the cd number you can't set it passed... maybe someone else remembers what day that is. Also, when you set the machine for the cd you are on you MUST set it at a specific time so as to open your window of testing. You have a 6 hour testing window so you want to set the cd in the middle. Basically if you wake up at 630 am during the week and more like 9 or 10 on weekends, i would want the window to be from 6am to 12 pm... so then you set the machine at 9am. this will allow for the window of testing to be 3 hours before and 3 hours after the time you set it.

Setting your cd is different from a testing day. you will need to set the cycle day at the beginning of each cycle but you won't be testing on that day. usually to start it will ask you to test on cd6 and as it gets to know you the first testing day will change.

so hopefully between the step by step reprogramming and the setting of the cd will cover your basis for what to do.

Don't pee on the stick until you turn on the monitor and it asks for it! I made that mistake my first cycle and wasted a stick!! But it does usually ask for the first stick on CD6.

YAY!!

I strongly suggest peeing in a cup and doing the dip method!!

I started out peeing on the stick and if for some reason it doesn't read... your FMU is GONE!!! Chat Icon that screwed me up.

Oh and once I spilled the cup of pee!! that wasn't too fun!!!
