Ummm.... I found an AMAZING diaper cream! (update!!)
Update: a day and a half later and his rash is TOTALLY gone. Even when he pooped overnight. I cannot believe how quickly this stuff worked!!!
So TJ has a wicked diaper rash. The kind that is raw and makes him cry every diaper change. The kind that I wash his tush with mild soap and water every time he poops. You KNOW that kind.......
Yesterday I was outside with my neighbors watching our kids play and I mentioned how bad it is. 3 minutes later another neighbor came home from some pharmaceutical conference she was at and she had samples of this barrier ointment. My other neighbors laughed and pointed at me when she walked up and said, "Anyone want samples of this ointment I got- it's supposed to be good for diaper rash....."
I used it last night. I put Aquafor on his tush, then a layer of this stuff. I said to my DH, "Wouldn't it be amazing if tomorrow his rash was gone?" Umm, this morning when he got up, he'd pooped, but when I wiped him he DIDN'T scream and his rash is almost completely gone.  The only places it was still visible was where it was raw- and even then it looked SO much better.
I googled it and the stuff is sold over the counter. It's called Calmoseptine.
Sorry if this is old news to some, but I've never heard of it before and wanted to share.

Awesome, I never heard of this stuff!!!! But I'm only replying to see how long until Mady gets her hands on this stuff???
