6 week sonogram
I just found I am pregnant through IVF last week. My first sonogram is on April 20 and I will be one day under 6 weeks. What would u normally see on a sonogram at this point? Is a heartbeat ever detected this early?

You should have a HB. But if not you just might be too early by a few days.
I went for a sono right at the 6 week mark and we did have a hb.

I had a sono at 5w5d and freaked the heck out because the girls on here told me I "should" be able to see a heart beat, even though all the books / articles say you shouldn't. We didn't. We went back a week later, and there it was!
Babies are really, really predictable. Their heart beats are detectable at 6w or a couple of days later. If you had an early implanter you might see it a couple of days sooner, but there's no way to know what day it implanted. If you're 5w6e you might not see it and that WILL BE OK. You should be able to see the "fetal pole" though - the fetus is still under 1 cm now so it's just a dot on the screen.

I had a sono at 6 wks exactly -- we saw a sac, fetal pole and heard/saw the HB.

You MAY be able to hear it, but don't panic if you don't. We heard the heartbeat first at 6wks 3 days thru IVF. Then we saw it at 7 wks 3 days. Good luck!!!

My first sono was at 6w. I measured 5w5d and we saw the heartbeat, gestational sac and yolk sac. The baby was a small dot.

The earliest i had a sono done was 6w5d when i was pg with DD and we saw the heartbeat clear as day.
