All I want for Christmas.....with poll
Is a gift cert for another tattoo. I have been putting off getting my "family" tattoo, since DS was born bc I didnt know what I wanted. I came across this today, a family tree.....and think it could be perfect since it can be added to if we have more kids and I think it would translate really nicely into a tattoo. I would just do the tree, not the circle and all of that.
I dont know where Im going to put it yet, and I figure itll be about 6" or 7" tall. With my birthstone, DH birthstone and DS birthstone. I would not put our names on it though.
Itll be my 6th tattoo, so if you had 3 going up your spine and one off to the side of your spine and another on your hip....where would you put it?

I was thinking shoulder. Right now, all of my tattoos are strategically placed, so if Im ever in a tank or dress, you cant see them. So that would be stepping out of the box for me, but Im thinking about it. I was also thinking about my outer thigh, up by my hip (on the leg opposite where I already have the hip tattoo.)

I normally don't like tatoos but I think this one is pretty.
how big are we talking?
what about the nape of your neck....the branches almost look like hairs which is why I think it would look nice.
personally I would never tattoo near my breasts/chest or my arms.

For me, I would put it on the back of my shoulder or the inside of my forearm.
I don't know how visible you want it to be since you have most of your other ones in places that can't been seen....
What a great idea for a tattoo!!

thanks! I was considering that also. I was thinking maybe 6 X 4-ish or whatever it works out to proportionally around that size.

I think it's really nice! I agree with upper outer thigh area. I have one on my shoulder blade are, but I never wear strapless, so its only visible in my bathing suit.

No room on my lower back....which is a bummer. When I got my first two, I didnt expect to keep on getting them so I didnt plan accordingly.  Im really liking the side idea, but youre right, Id definitely need to go bigger, not huge but bigger. Oh and lose like 10-15 lbs first......no one wants to be tattooing my flab, nor do I want to be showing people my flab

Im thinking the side is the way to go. Thatll be my motivation to lose these 10 or 15 lbs.

I am not a fan of tatoos at all - but I can appreciate the art of it -
That is pretty, and I agree it would translate well into a tatoo - I would keep it somewhere you can hide it though -
I think you could also easily do that much smaller that 6 or 7" if you wanted to

my others are right on my spine, so Im ready! I find excessive use of the word f^ck very helpful when getting tattooed right on a bone.
