What did you get DH for your 1st anniversary?
I'm having a hard time thinking of what to get him... Dh doesn't know what he wants either... he claim he has everything he wants (Trump's son? lol). Anyway, looking for ideas, of what to get DH for the 1st anniversary. Nothing superficial (like PSP, poker games, or clothes, etc), something that'll last forever (like jewelry, but not).

We are going to Montreal...but I did want to give him something small - something along the traditional anniversary gift (paper). Either tickets to a show/concert or a g/c for a massage while we're away.
I gave my BM's the same necklace - I wanted to get one for myself too! LOL

If I had the money I was thinking as a wedding or anniversary gift for Fh I'd get him either
1) a nice gold watch
2) a big screen TV
or a
3) La Z Boy recliner
All of them last a long time and are things he'd really enjoy. Those are just some of the things I'd consider if I had the $$
Don't forget 1 yr is paper, so maybe a framed photo, or tickets to something. Memories do last forever!

Well since ours was yesterday.... We went otu for dinner. DH got tickets to see a Broadway show tonight (since broadway closes on Monday). I think I am giving him a spa day for the two of us. There is a spa in NYC that caters to couples and we will have a day there.

We stuck with paper as our 1 year gift to go along with tradition. I got him tickets to Velvet Revolver and U2 and a supscription to Rolling Stone ( he loves music).
He got me (us) a trip to Jamaica The paper being the plane tickets

I really wish that we could go away (paper=plane tickets), but work wouldn't permit him to take the time off next month.
I wanted to go away SOOO badly, but it's not possible. PLUS, we wouldn't be able to go away for long, since we have a wedding the week after our anniversary, AND the week after that!
Keep the ideas coming, though...

Since the first anniversary is paper, I am going to try to make him a small album of as many photos as I can find (and like the way I look in....LOL) I have of us since we started dating. I was thinking of tickets too and might still do that, but wanted to also give him something he can keep as a memento.
