5 month old randomly waking up in the middle of the night?

DD has been waking up at random times in the middle of the night, nursing for 10 mins and falling back to sleep.

I read that it could be that as shes more aware of her surroundings all day she might be nursing less and making up for it at night.

She had been going 10-12 hour stretches until last week.

Anyone have advice/experience?

No advice, but DD has been fussing like 2-3 times per night and I get up and give her her pacifier. its been she's either cold, hot (we live in an apartment with no control of the heat and with our crazy weather lately its even harder to regulate) or her teeth are bothering her. She still goes 10 hours total its me who isn't getting the solid sleep right now

yes ds did that at around 4.5 months too. some people recc CIO i was not ok with it at that age so i nursed him back to sleep it became a habit and turned into 3 times a night at around 9 months i did cio which was not bad he still wakes up at 12 months once a night sometimes i let him cio sometimes i cant i do what gets me through the day/night

I have had that with DS recently. Supposedly sometimes babies just want to see you and "hang out". Sometimes they want to play
