$49.95 Sewer or Drain
This might get pulled, but I just wanted to let everyone know that my landlord called them to snake the line from the house to the street and they (after being told not to) snaked into the house and broke a pipe in my basement and flooded it.
We can't use ANY water in the house. I can't pee, brush my teeth, wash dishes, wash clothes, take a shower... NOTHING!!! DD is sick with a virus and I can't give her a bath.
We've been calling them all night and they refuse to help. They told us that it must have been broken already. But magically the pipe burst after this guy left and flooded my house.
Be careful if you call them! Make sure everything is working before they leave and don't sign the paper before they leave unless you make sure everything is okay!!!!
If anyone has been in a similar situation and knows how to get them to fix it please let me know!

i would call them back again and tell them that first thing in the morning you will be filing a complaint w/ the BBB if it isn't fixed ASAP.

We told them that. DH also already posted on ripoffreport.com. They told us if we wanted to waste our time trying to take them to court that we'd lose anyway.

Yeah, or maybe it's $49.95 Any Sewer or Drain... They kept hanging up on DH when he called to complain and then said they were going to report him for harassment cause he kept calling back.

So sorry this is happening to you! I hope you get your water back ASAP!!
If the landlord was the one who engaged them to begin with, then the landlord needs to be the one to handle it. I'd keep calling your LANDLORD to get this fixed and let him deal with whatever contractors / plubmers / services he needs to.
Unless you hired them and paid the bill, you don't have a case against them. Your landlord does.

My landlord is actually my sister and her DH, lol... makes complaining much easier! My BIL's friend came and fixed it last night, so we have water..... but what a deceptive business they run!

Then call their bluff and slap them with a nice lawsuit. What's the filing fee for small claims? $30 bucks?
