I had an Olympus camera and that one was great.
I recently got the Sony Cybershot with 8.1 magapixels.

I have the Nikon D70 but recommend any of the digital SLRs
Digital SLRs have no delay in shutterspeed, flash or to warm up.

i have a sony cybershot- 3.2 mp's. we got it a few years ago. its a good camera, But, i wouldnt recommed it. There's a delay in the flash, so i've missed some good shots  But, it takes great scenic pics (though, 3.2 is already pretty outdated).

Nikon D50 - what I like best is that it's an SLR and it's super fast...comes with great lenses too... cheaper than the RebelXT which has more mp, but has tested better...although I would also highly recommend the Rebel also. Hey it was hard to pass up 8mp for 6.1mp.

A Canon Powershot SD400 digital elph (5.0 MP). Its ok, I would love a SLR one day *sigh*
