What kind of phone do you have?
We have digital phone service but DH hates our phone. It's a GE 5.8 gh with caller id on it. It's the kind that needs one base but other phones can be plugged into a regular electrical outlet. So, who likes their phones?

We just got the Panasonic digital 5.8ghz, same as yours main base with answering machine then others plugged in. We love it!!!

We've had a lot of luck with the Uniden phones. I've had mine for over 8 years.

we have V-tech (same style as the one you described- only one needs to be plugged in)... we've had it for a few years, and no complaints.
