POLL: If you had a choice as to what WEEK to do your shower???

Ok, so if you had a choice or a say as to when to do your shower, which would you choose and why?

And let's say these were your ONLY options.

i would go with 32wks...gives you the most time as possible

I would just recommend a Sat - it's nice to have the day after to relax a little bit before going back to work. I had mine this Sat (32w2d) and I was exhausted yesterday.

I voted wrong, I voted for 34weeks but meant to vote for 32 weeks.

I had mine at 35 weeks and I was fine except forgetting really hot while opening gifts. I wasn't reallt tired though.

I agree that Saturday is better than Sunday....

I think I was 32 or 33 weeks for my shower, and it was perfect timing! I wasn't miserable yet lol, and I was able to finish putting all the stuff away, and washing the clothes!

Mine was at 32 weeks. I found it good to still have energy to open that many presents. Any later than that and I think I would have been more tired.

for me i would like to have it at 32 weeks.. i am unsure when i would be delivering twins.. i know its early.. so i dont want to miss my own shower!

Ok so I really thought that 34 weeks would get more votes and that people would say 32 weeks was way too early! I told my mom that I REALLY do not want it in the last month and she agreed so she wanted to know about when would be a good time.

I was initially going for 34 weeks, 6 weeks before DD, but good points about making sure to have enough time to go through everything, return stuff, buy whatever else we need. I thought the SAME thing about Sunday not being good because you need the next day to organize and rest, but threw it out there since it's still an option.

Thanks everyone! I'll give my mom both 32 weeks and 34 weeks and let her decide since she's planning! Also, I want to make sure my VERY dear friend will still be in town when we have it!!!

I had mine at 32 weeks. By the following weekend, I think I started feeling uncomfortable and was glad the shower had been when it was. I also ended up giving birth at 36w2d!

I will be 33w 3 days at mine and I would have liked to have it between 30 and 32 but the holidays are in the way and I didn't want to do it the very first weekend after New Years b/c I feel like people are still out of it and some are even still on vacay...

A few of my friends recently had their babies like 4 weeks early- so that is also something to think about. If a baby is born like a month early he/she usually comes right home and you will need your stuff pronto- so having it at 32 weeks will give a little time to put everything together etc.

I had mine at 32 weeks. So great b/c you still have plenty of time to go through everything and not feel rushed. I just returned some more stuff this past weekend that I was unsure about. Perfect to me b/c I didn't feel overwhelmed I have had time to relax which is what you want to do the last couple of weeks.....

I had my shower at almost 30 weeks. I had just started swelling up. It got progressively worse and I was eventually put on bedrest. I'm glad I had my shower early.
