AF arrived on Saturday and it's been (sorry TMI) VERY heavy this month. I also got a yeast infection the end of last week so it hasn't been a good past few days for me.
Today I got the results of DH's SA. the dr. said everything looked good except the shape. he had less then 1% normal shaped sperm. The dr. said that doesn't necessarily mean that we can't get pregnant though.
I have been off BC for a year now and I'm still not getting normal periods. I have an LP of 11-12 days which he said is good that is consistent.
He called in a Clomid prescription for me to take CD 5-9 (which is tomorrow so that worked out well) and he said he wants us to "really try" this month, and we'll do more tests and "figure things out" if I get another BFN.
I am in a wedding next August for a close family member. DH and I have discussed if we aren't pregnant by this cycle that we would take a few months off so I am not "ready to pop" at the wedding (this was before the SA results when we thought it was just me and my PCOS symptoms that I have)
I felt so bad telling DH the results. He really didn't say much when I told him, but I know once it sinks in he will have lots of questions.
I am so glad we are on vacation next week ! When I get back I have to call my dr. and schedule and HSG for me and a repeat SA for DH. Now for another problem. My dr. notified me that he is leaving the practice that I see him in and moving to another practice. I am very comfortable with him and the practice he is in now, and don't know if I should "move with him" or change to another dr. that is in the practice that he is in now. I'm a bit torn in what to do !!
Sorry for the vent...I know you girls understand !!
So sorry about the news but don't lose hope yet! Your doctor sounds like a very positive person and i personally would want to stay with a dr that I feel comfortable with.
Thanks for your replies. I have read sooooo much these past few days about morphology and everything I read makes me believe that we will have to do IVF/ICSI in order to get preganat I know it's not the end of the world but we're trying to buy a house and I know IVF/ICSI can get if more then one round is needed.
All I can tell you is that I moved practices with my brand new OB when I was 12 weeks PG and it was the BEST decision I ever made. If you're comfortable with him, that's what matters most and the new practice may be even better.
