Re: Shrimp Recipes??

Devein an peel large shrimp (the largest you can find)
Place in a bowl
about 3 - 4 tablespoons of chopped garlic (I LOVE garlic!)
peel and chop 3 lemons (or you can just chop them up - make sure if you leave the peel on that you wash the lemon first!), drop in the bowl and mix up with the shrimp
a few squeezes of fresh lemon juice
shake in some lemon seasoning
fresh pepper
a little salt
a few tablespoons of EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)

Let marinate for about an hour or 3 in the refrigerator
throw on the grill or under the broiler for a few minutes each side

Pasta with Shrimp - Serves 2

5 garlic cloves sliced
olive oil
1tbsp dried basil or oregano
1tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Salt & pepper
1/2 cup white wine
Linguine
1/2 cup reserved pasta water
15 - 20 peeled clean raw shrimp
1tbsp butter

Cook pasta

In a saute pan over low heat saute garlic and olive oil until soft, do not brown (~10 minutes). Turn heat to med-high and add white wine, basil, red pepper, salt and pepper. Reduce by half. Then add butter and shrimp and cook 2-3 minutes until shrimp are pink. Toss in pasta and add some pasta water so the pasta isn't too dry. Top with parmesaen cheese.

Re: Shrimp Recipes??

Shrimp oreganata

-shrimp (about 20 large shrimp)
-1/2 stick butter
-olive oil
-lemon
-4 cloves garlic, chopped
-1/2 cup bread crumbs
-1/2 teaspoon paprika
-salt & pepper

Season the shrimp with a little salt and pepper. In a pan with a metal handle, saute the garlic in the butter and olive oil til slightly cooked, but not brown. To this add the juice of the whole lemon and the paprika. Then add your shrimp til lightly pink on both sides, but not completely cooked. Cover the shrimp with the bread crumbs and mix together a little so that the bread crumbs combine with the oil/butter. Taste to see if its seasoned enough.
Put the whole pan into the oven and broil for about 3 minutes or until top is a little brown.

(You just dont want to overcook the shrimp)
I garnished mine with thin slices of lemon.

Shrimp for the bbq-so easy

-shrimp (about 20 large shrimp)
-1/4 cupOlive Oil
-lemon pepper seasoning-about 1 tsp
-chopped garlic (2-3 cloves)
-salt & pepper to taste

Just mix the ingredients all together and put in a ziploc bag. Let it marinate for about an hour. I usually put them on skewers and put them on the grill. They are delicious! Chat Icon

Re: Shrimp Recipes??

Wow - I know this thread is really old, but I just made an amazing shrimp dish last night...

I just threw the following things in a bowl and let the shrimp marinate for about 2 hours and then I cooked them in a wok - it was so delicious!

Shrimp
Soy sauce
Chili oil
Lots of chopped garlic
Juice of one lime

I didn't follow a recipe or anything, so I can't tell you how much of everythng to use, I usually just eyeball it... Chat Icon
