I got $640 back from Carters!!!
yes, pretty much his entire wardrobe from newborn to 18 months had those tags on them.

Holy crap  I am going to go through my stuff this month probably. I have a TON of Carters stuff. I think I bought everything they had in the store for DS.
I'ts anything with the white colored in tagless label, right?

yeah, it is the one where the entire rectangle is filled in with the tagless material. Not the stencil.

That is so funny. I did nto see this and Noah has a permenant rash back there and the PEd said it was from labels, but she had asked me liek a year ago if he wore a lot of Carters clothes, that she heard they give rashes!! WOW
What do you have to do? Call that number? It doesnt say really what to do? Do you have to send the clothes back etc?
Can you tell us Lisa what you did exactly? Thanks!

They sent me a postage paid package and i sent all the clothes back that I had with those tags.
That was about 3 weeks ago. I got the check today.
I'm unsure if they will actually give you the money back if the clothes didn't cause a reaction. I suppose they wouldn't know either way. I could have given them the doctor's notes but they never asked. It was kind of an ongoing issue and we thought he had sensitive skin (and he does) because that is what the doc told me. Not necessarily because of the tags.

O M G...I've been taking DS to the ped since about 6 weeks because of the rash on his back. It's from the clothes!!

OMG, DD always have a bit of red bump behind her neck/between shoulders, I just thought it's part of her eczema! But her back is usually clear, so I couldn't figure out why.. now it all makes sense. I like Carter's stuff, we just bought a whole bunch of clothes for DD this weekend.

I called them and they never even asked if he got a rash or if I had to take him to the dr. They took my name and address and sent me the bag with the return label in the mail.

Yes, you're right. It's the 2007 line. If you look on the Carters website it will show you a picture of the tag. I called them last week and they sent me the postage paid packages and I just mailed everything back today. When I called they asked what the problem was and I told them DD #1 used to get a rash on the back of her neck and I never knew what it was from but then I used the clothes on DD #2 and the same thing happened.

yes, Kate is correct. It is the Spring 2007 line so this more than likely affects toddlers around 2 and older. The carter's clothes after that point had a different tagless label (covered less of the area which prevented the friction). When I called they told me that it wasn't necessarily the material it was made of as much as just the large area of the rectangle causing the irritation.

oh good, so the new clothes are ok. We have some things with the old labels, I remember seeing them, have to go through DD's closet tonight.

How long did it take between sending them back and receiving the check? About how many pieces did you return? DS was born in Fall of 07 so most of his stuff probably has that tag.
