42 Days no AF

Hi Ladies,

I already make an appointment with my ob/gyn, but thought I would get your thoughts on this.

For the past year, I have had a 31 day cycle and been very regular. The last cycle I had was 35 days and I just thought it was stress delaying it. This cycle has lasted 42 days with no sign of AF in site!!!!

Of course, I have taken 6 pregnancy tests over the past two weeks and they were all negative. The last test I took was Friday.

I have a doctor's apt. scheduled for November 4th, but have a couple of questions.

Should I try getting an earlier appointment because there really could be something wrong with me?

Should I buy anymore pregnancy tests, or at this point, is there no way I can be pregnant?

do you have any idea when/if you Oed?
if you didnt O or Oed late you might have longer cycle, and thats completely normal.
if you were stressed at all or sick or anything during the time of O it may have pushed your O day back which is why you havent gotten AF yet.

might as well go to the Dr. if you already have an appointment, but it is quite normal to have one misc long cycle for no specific reason.

you also said your last cycle was 35 days meaning your O day was prob later than usual that cycle as well, so i wouldnt be TOTALLY worried at this point.

although i would continue to take PG tests (i would do $ store tests at thiis point) if you BD'd a lot during this cycle. you could be getting - tests if you Oed late and happened to catch the egg in time you could just be too early to show on a test.

I thought that I O'd on CD 22. I don't chart/temp/OPK, but can usually tell from EWCM. The weird thing is that I got EWCM again on CD 32 (because it was so odd for that to happen and in combination with strange headaches, I thought I was pregnant).

Around CD22, I did have a really bad cold, but I didn't realize something like that could throw my cycle off this much.

I agree with FlowerWife that you could have just O'ed later than you thought. Same thing happened to me last cycle and on CD 43 I got AF, when my prior cycles were around 30 days.

You can get EWCM and then not O, which is what it sounds like happened. A number of years ago I even skipped AF for an entire cycle and got the next one right on schedule. Our bodies can be wacky sometimes. If you have the doc appointment already you might as well go, but I wouldn't worry too much.
