Anyone good with computers?
My USB/Flash Drive broke this morning. The USB part that goes into the computer broke from the rest of the piece.
Does anyone know if there is a way that I can recover the data that I have saved on the USB/Flash Drive? I have a lot of documents for work and school on there that I would like to try to recover.
Right now, I can try to put it back together and re-insert the portion that goes into the computer but the computer isn't recognizing it!

I am not sure if it can be fixed but perhaps you can go to Office Max or Staples and they might be able to help you

Re: Anyone good with computers?
When you say the USB part broke, do you mean the entire tab broke away from the main part? If the USB plug broke off, you're going to need some very good soldering skills to even attempt fixing it, and even that isn't likely. If just the metal sleeve around the USB plug broke off, then you have a chance.

The tab broke away from the main part.
Should I try to see if someone can solder it back together? Any suggestions on where to find such a person?
Thanks! I am so frustrated!
