3yo Sleep Walking
Anyone have any experience with this? My 3yo has just started sleep walking and I don't know what to do to make sure he doesn't get hurt! It has now become a nightly thing. I hear him get up almost immediately and stop him just as he's walking out of his room, but the thought of not hearing him is what's scaring me! Is there anything I can do? Is this just a phase? Advice please!

3yo Sleep Walking
My DS started sleep walking just after a year. I spoke to my Ped about it. He said its normal and just try to make sure they do not get hurt. If you notice it is happening the same time each night you can try to go in and slightly disrupt their sleep a bit a little before the usual time it happens. This will just put them into a different phase of sleep and sometimes this will work to get them to stop.
Its usually a phase and it will stop. It is not harmful to them unless they get hurt during the walk. Just make sure he is safe. My DS will walk when there is a change in his life. It started when he moved rooms in daycare from infant to toddler and they were no longer sleeping in cribs. He now does it if something new s going on.
