3rd trimester ladies
Are there any sonos that you do during the 3rd trimester????? I'm already looking forward to seeing my little kicker again!!! lol

I'm not there yet, but I asked my doctor this question. She said that most insurance companies only cover one more after the anatomy sono (18-20 wk), which is around the 32-34th weeks.
Unless of course, any problems arise or the baby looks "bigger than average" for the number of weeks.

My doctor told me that they typically only do an 8 week, 12 week (ultrascreen) and anatomy scan (20 weeks)...I know with my first I had one every two weeks from 30 weeks on since I was measuring small...they don't typically do a growth sono unless measurements indicate a need to.

I'm getting a growth sono tomorrow (36 weeks)... but I have GD, so it's necessary. this will be my first sono since the level II!

I had a growth sono at 30 weeks. If I have another one it will be because she hasn't arrived by her due date and the doctor will want to check that everything is ok.

Well because I have GD the OB had me start weekly visits at 32 weeks so I go to the OB every week, twice a week and every Tuesday I have a sono to check the baby's weight, tone, HB, etc. It will be this way until I deliver. I think normally though you would have maybe 1 sono in the 3rd tri to check the baby's growth.
