3rd tri girls - Do your teeth hurt
Sounds funny, but do your teeth hurt? The past week or so I'm really noticing it. I'm 31 weeks. I'm going to mention it to my doctor, maybe I'm not getting enough calcium. With having Gestational Diabetes the nutritionist cut me down to one 8 oz. glass a day and I used to drink a lot more milk so maybe that's what is causing ithis strange feeling. Just curious if anyone else had this?

probably not, but diabetes and pregnancy can both depress your immune system and cause bad gingivitis issues... do your gums bleed now when you brush and floss?
you definitely should tell your OB about it.

Not hurt, but my gums have started to bleed again. They did in the 1st Trimester, went away for the 2nd, then started up again the last couple of weeks.

YES!!! My teeth were bothering me in the beginning of my pregnancy, I had work done (never had a cavity in my life...right after i had my first, I had 2 cavitites filled, and 2 root canals---then with this one I had to have 3 cavitities filled while pregnant). Now my teeth are killing me, but I actually think its my gums. Its crazy!!

I hope I didn't scare you into thinking your immune system is seriously depressed! Now that I read my prior post, it's rather
It's NORMAL for us to have sensitive gums (due to higher blood volume)... it's just with some moms-to-be, it can be a bit more out of hand. (frankly, it's also normal for our immune systems to be slightly depressed... that's why we're so prone to UTI's, colds....) In the end, you may have to go to the dentist with increased frequency and have super-cleaning to keep it all in check. Your OB would be the best person to determine this.
It's just yet another high maintenance pregnancy moment!
