3dpo temp drop...
can tylenol pm affect your bbt???
I am 3dpo today....i had two days of high temps after o'ing...this morning should have been my third day to confirm o but my temp dropped
my coverline is 97.2 yesterday i was 98.1 and the day before i was 97.9...today i am down to 97.3
of course i am becoming a crazy ttc-er and overthinking this and assuming the worst (that i dont ovulate and thats why i havent got a bfp yet)...but then i realized i took two tyleonl pm last night....any chance it can cause a lower temp???
im pretty sure taking them at 10:30pm shouldnt change my 7am reading but i guess im trying to remain optimistic
edit: just read online that this could be a "fallback rise"...anyone know about these? i guess i have to wait til tomorrow to see if my temp is up again

Re: 3dpo temp drop...
there are alot of things that could affect your temp: did you sleep with the same amount of blankets as usual? did you sleep with your mouth open last night because of congestion? did you go to bed later than usual? did you get up in the middle of the night to pee? all of these things can affect your temp. why did you take tylenol last night? were you feeling sick? i wouldn't worry about it too much, you have to see what your temp is over a period of days. and you're coverline doesn't necessarily have to be that set number either. how do your temps normally run before you ovulate?
ETA: if you are taking tylenol PM to help you sleep, i would just take benadryl instead. take 50 mg, which would be the equivalent of taking 2 tylenol pm, just without the tylenol portion of it. that's all that tylenol pm is anyway, tylenol and benadryl

Re: 3dpo temp drop...
i slept the same amount of hours as normal and did not get up to go to the bathroom at all...nothing changed last night except the tylenol pm. i only took it bc i had trouble sleeping the night before and couldnt handle two sleepless nights.
i was temping for almost 3 weeks prior to ovulation and got a consistent 97.2 with a 1 day exception of 97.1 and then the 2 days prior to O i dropped to 96.8. then i had my spike for 2 days and now back to almost my baseline.
i thought temping would be helpful but now its just confusing me and driving me crazy i'll wait to see what tomorrows temp is (and switch to benadryl) thanks

Re: 3dpo temp drop...
i could have been the tylenol, see what your temps are the next few days. are you doing anything else, like opks, or keeping track of your CM? if you had 2 sleepless nights the night before, that could explain the elevated temps for those 2 days..............just keep temping and see

Re: 3dpo temp drop...
ok my temp was back up today...ill take that as a sign that i did ovulate when i thought (sat or sun) based on opks and cm. i guess yesterday was just a fallback rise or something phew

Re: 3dpo temp drop...
Sounds like a fallback rise. I get that like every other cycle where I'm up for 2 days, down 1 and up again. Makes it confusing. It's even more relevant to me because I am charting at the moment trying NOT to conceive, so I'm waiting for that 3rd day over the coverline and I'm wondeirng "am i safe, or not?"
