3D Sono ? (with a poll)
When I had Damien 3D was a new thing and we were never offered one. We can get one with this pregnancy but at a cost of $250.00. It does come on a CD and is all jazzed up. I am asking because since Damien is almost three his sono pics are not that important to me as pics of him in the flesh are KWIM. So I am leaning towards not getting it done. So just want some BTDT Mom's opinions. TIA

Re: 3D Sono ? (with a poll)
Hubby and I gave this to each other as an anniversary present. It was one of the most incredible experiences. I highly recommend it. Even my OB that gave me permission to do it couldn't believe the pictures. BTW I was still surprised at what my DD looked like. Nothing is like seeing them in person

Re: 3D Sono ? (with a poll)
i have two children and i didnt get a 3d sonogram with either one. i found the "regular sonogram", good enough for me. and i wanted to be excited seeing the baby for the first time outside of me. rather then seeing him or her inside the womb. jmo. everyone is different.

Re: 3D Sono ? (with a poll)
I didn't get the 3d sono done I thoguht it would be a waste of money. The sono that I had done was jsut as good we were able to make out details. We were lucky the baby was facing foward. Another reason I opted not to do the 3d was what happens if you spend the money and your baby isn't facing the front then you get 3d pics of your childs backside.

Re: 3D Sono ? (with a poll)
I had 2 or 3 3D sonos done, but they were done in my docs office and I did not have to pay for them. But the experience was surreal, so life like to see it on screen.
However, I think that if I had to pay for it, I would not have gotten it done.

Re: 3D Sono ? (with a poll)
I'm not sure what I'd do. I'd be very curious to see what my kids looked like ahead of time.
I just had a conversation about sonograms this morning. Joseph & I were talking about bones, skin, muscles, etc. He was disappointed that he has a skeleton but can't see it. I told him that before he was born, we had a sonogram (which is like video) of him where you could see his bones. He asked to watch it tonight when he got home.

Re: 3D Sono ? (with a poll)
We did the 3D and 4D and I'm SO glad we did. Ours was about the same price you would be paying but I put it through my flex spending account at work and they covered it. We got a video too and I love it!

I had a 3D sono for my Level II but it was covered under my insurance. If it wasn't covered I doubt we would have purchased it.
