I thought we could start a thread where we recommend our REs since I know there's a lot of new members of the boards and some lurkers who are looking for info!

So, please post your RE recommendation - and maybe their contact information as well! Chat Icon

Great idea!!!

I see Dr. Kuokkanen at LI IVF in Melville. I really love their whole office. They call me all the time with test results and to check in. I never have to call them to find out what's going on. They are very patient (with my 6 million questions) and have all been so kind and helpful.

Here's their #: 631-752-0606

i am very happy with them also..but the phone number is 246-9100 in stonybrook.

Dr. Cain is my primary, there are several other doctors in the practice. I've met a few of them and like all of them. Dr. Cain is very nice, realisitic and honest, and supportive.

Reasons I like this office;
1. open at 6:30am - this is great so I can get in and out and get to work on time.
2. i like the staff - all of the nurses are great, there isn't one I don't like.
3. Marcello - the sono guy, is the best i ever had, patient, explains everything
4. Nurse practioners - Susan is awesome. Dawn is ok, she can be gruff and rubs some the wrong way, but not too bad for me.
5. Danielle - finance girl - helped me alot with my insurance/ivf
6. they do blood in the office, so I don'thave to go to quest. also they get the results super fast.

Re: *Official RE recommendation thread*

I am another fan of RS of NY. I primarily go to the West Islip office. They open at 7am.

My main physician is Dr. Stelling, though I have seen a few docs and they are all terrific. I was slightly concerned about the rotating schedule and the continuity of care when I started, but they continue to amaze me. I can't say enough positive things about this practice.

Their website is: http://www.rsofny.com/

Re: *Official RE recommendation thread*

Before I add in my "recommendation" I must preface it with this....
Everyone is going to either recommend their current RE or the one who got them PG. I can tell you horror stories about a couple of LI clinics that I have heard about and/or experienced myself, yet other people are happy at these places.
It really comes down to the fact that each person should consult with a couple different RE's and go with the one they feel can handle their particular situation the best and are most comfortable with.

I'm a two-time success story from LI-IVF with Dr. Kenigsberg. Although we lost our first due to IC, that had nothing to do with him and I had very little hope of him being able to get me PG a second time at 43, but he did....

They open at 6:00 am for monitoring
You see your Dr. and only your Dr. for consults and most procedures.
The staff there is wonderful, everyone knows your name and history.
The billing dept is also very easy to deal with.
They will explain everything to you and there is staff always available after hours to help you with any issues.

And most importantly to me - when I had severe OHSS and was calling Dr. K almost hourly, he told me to go to the hospital and met me there at 2 a.m. - and he lives in Southampton.Chat Icon

Re: *Official RE recommendation thread*

I highly recommend Dr. Braverman at SIRM. I love him and his entire office and he really cares about his patients. he goes above and beyond, IMO. He is the ONLY one you will see for all of your appointments/sonos. He personally calls you with all your results and he's very accesible by e-mail and cell phone. He gave me his private cell number because he knew I was worried about something.

Monitoring hours are by appointment and I prefer that to the cattle hall at other clinics. I never had to wait very long and they were always very accomodating.

Dr. Braverman is also an expert in immune issues that a lot of other doctor's ignore.

I know what you girls mean.. just some people from TTC had FM'd me because they didn't even know where to start when looking for REs - so at least this list gives them some people to start calling!
