It should show every account that has been opened in your name and social.
there are several sites you can go to check. If you want a detailed report you will have to pay for it so the free sites are only free if you want just a score.

Is the site where you can legitimately get an official report from all 3 agencies for free once a year (government law).
You won't get your FICO score, but it will show you all the activities associated with your accounts, and give you a credit score. You can usually get a good idea of your approximate FICO score by taking the credit score they give you, and comparing where the score lands on their range, and relate that to the FICO range.

I have never seen my utilities on my credit report... I don't think they require social security numbers, though.

I was a victim of ID theft...I found out through my credit report.
I use www.equifax.com to run all three credit reports. I pay for them, I don't mind. I am so leery I don't even trust the free sites at this point.
LIPA and phone and utilties won't show. I think they may if you had bills that went to collection though I am not sure about utilities. I know medical bills that went to collections would show.

Transunion told me I already had an account and i don't remember EVER doing this before so thats weird. I obviously didn't know the answer to the security question.
The other two told me they couldn't give me any info over the computer. Weird again...now I think something is definitely up!!
You better run all three and see what's up. Another site I use is www.myfico.com and run all 3 reports with all 3 credit scores.

utilities will show if they go to collection. Everything will show that has gone to collection. Traffic judgements..etc... as well.

Just call them up (uh when you have about 30 minutes to waste) and cancel. They'll try REALLY hard to sell you on the service, but if you just stick to your guns, they'll cancel it. No way to cancel online, though - you have to call.

I think it also lists other addresses or other names used, such as Ann B. Smith, or Anne Smith. I had an address on mine with someone with the same name, but who lived in Seattle, so I wrote and told them that was not me.

This is exactly what he did. They kept charging him afterwards too and had to call again. Luckily he was refunded the $.
