37 week apt and reality just hit

I am now borderline preeclampsia with protein in my urine and a slightly elevated blood pressure.

I am going to see the high risk dr at Good Sam, Dr. El kady tomorrow and she will be calling my OB Dr Pilliterri and I will likely be induced tomorrow evening.

I am excited that baby is going to come early and they said because I have already been contracting, 1cm dialated, and baby is very very low it shouldn't be a long process.

But I am so nervous about this preeclampsia stuff. Dr said its not dangerous as long as he takes the baby soon.

Anyone have any experience with this or words of advice.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I might be getting induced within 24 hours

Oh wow! Sorry to hear about being borderline preeclampsia.
But given all the craziness you've had in these last few weeks, I'm so excited for you to meet this baby—who clearly wants out now!
No experience/advice, but I wish you an easy labor and can't wait to see pics!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Aw lots of luck to you! Very exciting news.

I always had high blood pressure so after becoming pregnant they have been keeping a close eye on me. Mine is a little elevated so they may have to increase my meds. Don't worry to much. They keep a close watch!

I seriously am almost in tears of joy for you right now Chat Icon I know what it's like to be in that office.. on that bed.. and be told the worst news of your LIFE! But, tomorrow, you will be hearing Dr.El Kady tell you that your baby will be here so soon and that's just incredible. Don't let the preeclampsia scare you. Granted I don't have any experience with it but you are being monitored VERY carefully by experienced doctors and I'm sure you will be FINE!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Every time I read about another one of your milestones it gives me hope that people DO leave that office with news that there baby will be fine- even though I know you're nervous now and in limbo with what might happen tomorrow- the bigger picture is wonderful because in the end, you'll have your baby Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon and it will be perfect! That means a lot to me, it really does. And you WILL be back in that bed and you WILL get the good news this time and you WILL bring tears to all of our eyes who have been on this journey with you. Because people like you always make out ok, they always make it through the tough times, and they always help others who may be in their position one day.Chat Icon
