I put other:

1st IVF - 3DT - BFP, but m/c'd

2nd IVF - 3DT - BFP w/twins. currently 32 weeks pregnant with singleton

I was a 3dt and had a BFP w/ IVF #1.

This one I don't know about yet...but it was an FET that's considered a 3dt....

ETA: To my knowledge your dr. won't let you choose whether you do a 3 day of 5 day... it's not about your preference, it's about what's better for your embryos. Some dr's like to push it to a 5dt, but others don't. Chat Icon

1st IVF= 3dt BFP- (chemical)

2nd IVF= 5dt BFP ( 36 weeks pg)

I didn't answer the Poll b/c I dont' think its that simple. Age, situation etc.. plays a roll.

I know at Cornell, unless you have 10 or more emby's you are a 3dt. Some places will ONLY do 5dt. It all depends where you go. Its a risk to let them go for 5days. And when they freeze them (hoping you have many to do this) some do it on 3days and others on 5days or until blast stage).

The only thing 5 days does is weed out the weaker emby's but not to say if they were back where they belong they would not have survived.

I had a friend on another board have 2 perfect blasts (5dt) transferred in on her fresh cycle and BFN. They froze 4 and 3 months ago they did an FET and she got her BFP.
