Need honest opinion on crib + bedding combo..
My question...do you think the furniture is waaay to traditional/fancy for the bedding? I just fell in love w/this bedding (from PBK). I looked at a lot of toile/frilly type bedding but originally I wanted a bright flower-y type pattern like this one. What do you think about the overall styles of each going together? Bad??

I love both, but I do think the bedding may be a bit too casual for the furniture.

Yeah, those are the types of beddings I orginally planned on. I'm gonna see how these look together in person and hope the contrast works...worst case I'll just return the PBK bedding. I just love it !

i really don't see an issue - it's all about how 'formal' you make the room....
that room seems kinda 'formal' if you know what i mean - but once you jazz it up with more 'laid back' things - i think it'll be okay!

hey dana, that was my first choice on furniture but i chose one simliar instead..i love it..congrats!! Look in my album, they look alike, so I picked very formal bedding, and had it custom made..the woman is wonderful, the prices are INSANE, and i picked the fabric out with her myself..which i loved most..look in my album if you like the bedding, FM me for her info...
It depends what youre looking for..i wanted very dressy bedding
ETA: just so you know, the set they are using in the ad for the Venezia is Lollipops and Roses, and its on sale for SOOOOO cheap today only at BRU online because of the cyber sale...its quite beautiful!! just wanted to let u know!!

i think it looks fine. mix and match and find a style you like. not everything has to look like a picture in a magazine - in fact most of the time it looks better (and more personal) when it doesn't. go with what you like and don't worry about what other people think.

I agree - the furniture is just BEAUTIFUL  but personally, I think the bedding is a little too casual.

lol i dont know if that was referring to my post..but..the OP actually asked other peoples opinions..i dont think shes necessarily "worried" about what we think, just wanted some input?
i agree with personal touches though, thats why i had my own made ;)

i love the bedding. My friend has it and it looks really nice in the crib. The crib is beautiful, but very "fancy" for my taste. I am a modern type of gal.

i love both, but the bedding is for more of a white/wood crib.....
the crib should be with a bedding set that has more beiges and roses.

no i wasn't referring to any post in particular. i just know when special occasions come up in our lives we want everything to be perfect and start to get caught up in "perfect" meaning other people approve when in reality (at least i think) "perfect" is a very personal thing.
sorry if i sounded accusatory, i just was trying to get her to go with her gut!

Usually I'd say do whatever the hell you want and who cares? - But that furniture is a VERY specific style - I think the bedding is way to casual -
