$350 Per Window Replacement?
How does that sound?
We had one company come over so far and this was his quote.

They are custom windows, Ideal and they take a month to come in. Also this includes everything.

well, a window costs 150-200 so he is charging you the rest as installation.

I think so, too. My neighbor did his about a month ago and I want to say it was ~$275 a window. You said yours were custom though so maybe that makes up the difference.

Yes we have a very old house and very long windows. He told us they would have to be custom.

I think it sounds fine. We had 6 regular sized windows fitted for $2,000.
We were just quoted $2,500 for a custom entry door, and we need TWO

That seems very high to me, we just did our windows and they were custom ordered to the size we needed and paid a lot less then that a window.

When we got our windows replaced, they were over $700/peice for the window and installation. They are double hung Anderson windows.

I'm in the process of replacing 25 windows. I am doing all new double hung Andersen's and am paying (depending on size) anywhere from $350.00-600 per window, with installation.

sounds a little high
we're getting our windows replaced in a few weeks. some are just replacements and others are being enlarged. it's $289 for each window regardless of the size! so our 34x34 is the same as the 36x40-something double-hung. we're using unified. there's a $25 fee since we have metal windows currently.
