3.5 month old hands tremoring when excited
Ok so this has been really bothering me, I'm planning on calling my ped to see if this is a normal thing or not, but I also figured I'd check on here and see if anyone elses DC did this...
So DD is 3.5 months old. Shes been hitting all of her milestones either early or on time. Shes extremely happy and interactive. She's been grasping things for about a month, and began reaching for things in the past two weeks. I don't know if its because shes using her hands more now or what but recently I've been noticing her hands really seem to shake (it looks like a tremor). Its never when shes at rest, only when I'm interacting with her (which makes me think its when shes excited) or if shes working really hard at grasping something. Whenever I grab the hands while they are shaking they stop (someone told me that if you hold them and they stop that it isn't a seizure)
I think it probably struck me more because I knew that in the first 3 months all of those sorts of things are normal while their neurological system develops, I think I'm getting nervous because shes close to 4 months and the shaking is just as strong as ever. Like I said I'm definitely going to call the ped, just wondering if anyone elses DC did this.

ds has always shaken like he has a tremor when he gets excited... i know a couple of kids who do it... it really, for him, is a way that he expresses how excited he is

It can't be bad to follow up and check, but yeah, if you hold her and she stops, its most likely not a seizure
My dd's whole body does a shake/startle thing when she's overtired and trying to fall asleep
It's probably normal, but it can't hurt to double check
btw, your avatar is ADORABLE!

I asked my ped about it and she said that since she stops shaking when you put your hand there and grabs for it. it is totally normal and nothing to worry about.
