WARNING TMI- what is this?
Ive been using an ovulation kit and so far I have not gotten a positive result...
However according to my monthly cylces- today is my day to ovulate.
Every time I got to the bathroom and wipe I get a clear mucusy, thick, discharge. (a pretty big amount()
The 1st time it had a white/cream color in it, the last time it had a little bit of a brown color in it.
WTH is this? Does it mean anything?
It reminded me alot of my mucus plug from DC#1 (minus the bloody show)

This sounds a lot like EWCM - the most fertile of all CM. You can get it in the days leading up to O...

then that is EWCM - egg white cervical mucus.
you will be o'ing in the very near future. some women get it for 1 day before, some get it for up to 4 days before.

So if I got a neg result on the ovulation stick, should I still BD tonight???
Could the ovulation kit be wrong?
I know NOTHING about this...

you can BD any time leading up to O - some people like to BD every other day up to O - i TRY(not always successfully) to BD every day until O....
if you are doing the O kit properly - i'd go with that first....the EWCM is a sign of it on the way...you may only have 1 or 2 days left before you get your positive!!!
(What i mean by properly, doing the hold, testing between the hours of 2 & 8 PM, trying to hold back on drinking liquids during the hold, etc).

I never had strong results with OV kits. That is why I bought the CBEFM. Are you testing your urine mid-day after holding it in for several hours? I would BD today even if the result on the OPK is negative. Good luck!

I test every morning...
I had no idea it was supposed to be at certain times in the day

Sounds like EWCM to me. Yes, you usea OPK between the hours of 2pm and 8pm. You only use FMU for pregnancy tests.

Before you test (use the OPK) don't drink too much water. I just learned that from Jess today. Recieving plenty of helpful information on here.

LH, the hormone that OPKs test for, metabolizes throughout the day, so it doesn't show up in your urine until late afternoon. It's best to test between about 2 - 8pm after holding your pee and not drinking or eating anything for 3+ hours. Works best for me if I have my lunch then go to the bathroom and then not go again until I get home.
As for the EWCM - I get a lot about 2-3 days before I o and then it tapers off. The month I got pg, I'm sure we conceived on CD16 and I didn't ovulate until CD18. If you see EWCM, you should definitely BD! It provides optimium conditions for sperm and they can live in it for up to five days.
