That's such wonderful news!!!!
you'll be okay giving yourself the shot... When my mom was diagnosed as diabetic - she didn't think she'd EVER be able to give herself a shot. After 3 times - she was a pro!
Just think - every time you have to do it....it puts you that much closer to

Good luck. The shot looks worse than it actual is and its SubQ so its easier. There are video's online on u-tube. If you are still worried a lot of us on the IF board can walk you through it.

Yeah- glad to hear this! 
I will be the first one to tell you that I'm a baby when it comes to shots I take an ice pack and leave it on where I'm going to inject the needle for like 5 mins (literally) to get it really numb. Then I take it off, clean the area w/ an alcohol prep pad and either let it air dry or use a sterile gauze pad to dry the area quicker- then just inject it STRAIGHT in- you won't feel a thing. GL!!! It's so much easier than you think!
