Should I call the doctor?
This morning I woke up at 6 am with af like cramping. It lasted pretty much until about 8am. Now i'm feeling very nausea and have some back pain but hte cramping pains have subsided. I"m laying down and drinking fluids.
Should I call? I'm 30 weeks

I would say always err on the side of caution and call. They may tell you it is nothing, but I would let them tell you that rather than decide yourself. KWIM?
I am sure all is fine

Re: 30 weeks..would you call the doc?
Yes I would call.
Rule of thumb is if you have 5 or more pains in an hour call.
They will usually tell you to lay down for an hour and drink lots of water. If you're still feeling them, they'll have you go in.
For me, I felt that way at 28 weeks and had about 6 in an hour and a half and they had me go to L&D right away. Thankfully I felt better by then, but they did a full checkup on everything just in case.

Re: 30 weeks..would you call the doc?
thanks i called. They told me to keep drinking and keep my feet up for the next hour and if my back pain does not subside and if the cramping comes back, he wants me to go to l&d and get checked out since he is at the hospital this morning.
Thanks..hopefully this passes.

I would call. I've had them off on and for the past few weeks..they told me more than 6 in an hour to call them. Make sure you are drinking & try laying down on your left side.

Re: 30 weeks..would you call the doc?
Just wanted to say thank you for telling me to call. I did and was sent to L&D and they hooked me up to the contraction monitor and I was having contractions. Apparently I was dehydrated and didn't even know it. After a few hours of monitoring and some iv fluids I was released and am just trying to rest as much as possible and keep hydrated.

Very happy to hear all is ok! I'm so happy you called :) Dehydration is no joke and can cause contractions so it's great that you found out and were able to go home soon after!
