3 month old routine

DD will be around 3 months old next week... she seems to be starting to have a routine in her day, but I'm just wondering what other babies are doing, or did, at ths age?

She wakes up around 8 or 9 am, is awkae for about an hour or so and then seems to take a nap - sometimes a half hour to an hour. But sometimes she wakes up after 10 minutes and I have to keep trying to get her back to sleep.

Then she'll kind of continue this pattern for the day.... she'll be awake for a couple of hours and then seem to want to nap. Sometimes up to an hour - sometimes only a few minutes and I have to keep trying to get her back to sleep again.

She goes to bed around 8 pm and sleeps till about 5 am! and then goes back to sleep till the morning.

Just curious if this sounds like other 3 month olds.....and when can I possibly expect a regular nap schedule? TIA!

at 3m, we had a schedule of wake, eat, play, nap.

8am bottle
10am nap
12 bottle
2 nap
4 bottle
6ish (he's sometimes go for a catnap)
8pm bottle and bed


at 4m he droppep the catnap, at 6m he started to get tired for nap at 9am, and slept less.

at 9m his naps are more like 1.5 hours and he stopped the catnap around 4m.

We've had some bumps in the road especially during times when he was about to or reached a physical milestone. He's big on practicing his new skills. But other than that his schedule has pretty much been set in stone, by his own internal clock.

SOunds about right! DD is 3.5 months and sleeps 8-7. She follows play, eat, play, sleep and does it all in about 1.5 hours before needing to nap again. She's a cat napper and sleeps from 30-50 mins before repeating her cycle, giving her about 4 naps a day..
