2nd Time CS moms
The 2nd time around did your dr. use stitches or staples? Someone told me that they have to use staples the 2nd time around b/c the stitches won't hold?

My doctor told me they will use staples for the second c-section. I had stitches the first time.

I had dissolvable stitches both times. Never even discussed stitches?  I'm in NC though. My friend on LI has 4 kids and she's had nothing but staples. Personally, I'd rather have the stitches.

I had staples both times. And my doctor made a new incesion 1 inch from the first.

Didn't have a c/s but I was in the OR for both my friend's children and her 1st c/s was staples, her 2nd was stitches (different doctors though) I think it's just a doctor preference on what to use.

I had staples the first time and stitches the second, but I had two different doctors and I think it's all their personal preference on how to do it.

I had staples the first time around.
They didn't with me. I was fine with that. I never had a bikini figure so it didn't matter to me. LOL I think 98% of the time they open the same incesion.

I had staples for both. I didn't think it was a big deal either time.
ETA...same incision.
