Adopt me!
I found this little chi running down a busy street by my house on Saturday. She had on no tags. I don't know how long she was out there, her nails were very long and she had fleas. I brought her to the shelter thinking maybe her owners would claim her. She cuddled up in my lap on the way there.
I checked today and they said she is not chipped and no one has claimed her.
She is very sweet, shy but likes to be held. When I saw her tonight she was cowering in the corner.
My DH won't let me keep her and my friend cannot either.
My heart is breaking for this poor little girl. The girl there thought she might be around 6-8. She would make the perfect little lap dog.
Please pass this on- she deserves a good home!
She is at the Brookhaven Animal Shelter and is available for adoption 6/4. Image Attachment(s):

She was only about 10lbs.... just a little dog...
I tried that with DH but that wouldn't work.

I know..they are actually moving soon into a smaller place and have 2 cats and a chi already...
I am totally losing sleep over this.

omg i love her, she is so beautiful. i saw this after i already signed on for a new dog. i am sure she will have anew home in NO time. a pure chi?! shes stunning. i feel so sorry for her and her owners
did you put up flyers and post on craigslist?

i did not get a chaace to make it there i am sorry. i hurt my back real bad doing yard work and pretty much have been laid up i feel alittle better today but i have a feeling the time i can get there she will be gone. but it still does not hurt to try

I called yesterday to make sure there were names for her and they said there were. You can always try though, people do back out.
I'm just hope her new people take better care of her.

I went to see this little baby today but my rediculous MIL decided she didn't want her......I cried on my way out!! I loved her and want her so badly but my husband doesn't want anymore dogs right now since we'll be moving to NC soon and a lots going on!! I wanted her so badly!! She was such a sweetheart!!!
I hope this lil baby gets a GREAT home- she deserves one!!!! My heart breaks that shes scared to death at the shelter right now!!

Oh man I can't believe she's still there! She was available for adoption yesterday! I'll have to call and check tomorrow..

This was like when DH and I found out Arnold's litter mate Abe was returned to Kent. We ran down there ASAP to see how he and Arnold would get along. Unfortunately, it didn't work out and that was MONTHS ago. He's still there and whenever I see him, my heart breaks just a little bit more.

Yes, unfortunately, he's still there and it literally breaks my heart.
I swear if I knew there was a way we could take him, I would in a HEARTBEAT. He was a VERY sweet dog, ironically, it was Arnold that got aggressive with him and I just didn't feel comfortable.
When we had them meet he stood there and Arnold was the one jumping on him and growling. It was after a while that Abe snapped back and that just didn't sit well with me.
I swear, if we hit the lottery, I'm adopting every dog there.

Me three!! I'd also love to have a huge farm and go to those slaughterhouse auctions and save all the animals about to become our meat!!

I would have scarfed this guy up in a heart beat! But, I know my Pastina is not the friendly type. We've wanted another pet for a long time, but with this beast, we're going to be a 1 pet family for life, I think. We love her though
