Can anyone list a great place to eat?
Anything else nice to do in Port Jefferson?

I think because you asked what places are good to eat.
I wish I can help - but I haven't been to Port Jeff in ages.

What about Danford's?? They just re-did the entire place.......a friend of ours manages it. I hear its beautiful but haven't been there yet since.
Plus, you have a great view of the water.

You cant beat pasta pasta but i'd make a reservation. I would stay away from danfords. IMO it is overpriced and the quality of food is not what it used to be.

Re: Port Jefferson questions - what to do, where to eat
what to do? visit our home
pasta pasta has so so service, and is super overpriced and in my opinion, has a rather arrogant environment... paces has fantastic steak but yikes it's $$$. I could never understand why that place is so busy considering their food is so simple.
The pie pizza place is GREAT. Genuine italian-style coal oven pizzas. Not as stylish as those other places, but good food.
There's a restaurant across from danfords (portico?), that has so so food but wonderful burgers. It also has a water view and good drinks.... Never been to Ruvo, despite living a 3 min walk away from it and all of these other places...
what else to do? walk the docks and get an ice cream

Ruvo and Pace's get my vote. The food at Pasta Pasta is pretty good (although I think a little overrated), but the attitude they can keep.
