25 weeks pg pic...
We went to a black tie Bat Mitvah last weekend and I ended up buying this dress hours before we left... long story. I'm blaming the stupid pregnancy hormones!  Poor DH for having to put up with me.
Crazy party... the entertainment was Cirque de Soliel (sp), Sean Kingston, and Jon Bon Jovi.  Oh, and at the end of the night everyone got a beach size bag with a bunch of stuff in it... including a digital camera with an extra 2g of memory.  Image Attachment(s):

Oh yes he is! 2 years ago, for the Clinton fundraiser at a private house in East Hampton, my husband was working security with a few other guys. So the wives got to sneak in with our blanket and sit on the lawn to watch his private concert. It was SO GREAT! He's just gorgeous!

WOW! You look great.
I think JBJ gets a cool million to do private shows/events - unless he is a close and personal friend. I can only imagine how much this function set back the parents. But good for them. If they have the $$$ to spend, why not.

No Bon Jovi is not a close friend of theirs. It was originally supposed to be Kanye West or Rihanna (sp?) but because the grammy's were the next night they couldn't get them. It was left a surprise and it ended up being Sean Kingston and Bon Jovi. DH was told they spent 1.6 million on the entertainment alone. Who knows how much the rest of the party costs?? Just the decor alone was unbelievable... it looked like Melissa Rivers wedding years back, like a winter wonderland with white trees, flowers, crystals, and ice sculptures everywhere! Even the bars were made of ice.
Anyway... back to reality now.

Pity they had to settle (Only kidding). I'll be lucky if I can afford to hook up my IPOD to some speakers at my kid's Bar/Bat Mitzvah. At the rate we are going, it could be a weenie roast in Grandma's back yard.
Still, I am glad you had a great time. Having met Bon Jovi a couple of times, I know how captivating he can be. You are very lucky to have been a guest!
