The man and I were flipping between that and the World Series and icing Halloween brownies and cupcakes for our three boys (not to mention my sister's two that are coming plus my brother's one -- SIX BOYS lmao) and literally, we were at the doorway from the kitchen to the den with mouths agape watching the interview while icing LOL.
It was craaaazy. I totally believe her.
That "church" is nuts. What church bashes people?? Current and past people?!?! And that's the least of it. And OMG Katie Holmes. One day girl... Come out and spill allllll the tea please!!!!!!

I believed everything she said too. That church brainwashes people. It's so crazy that her mother moved the girls into that Sea Org in Florida after 8th grade. The whole time I was watching, I kept thinking what kind of mother lets all of that happen to her children.

I watched it, too because these people fascinate me. I absolutely believe Leah and find it hilarious that the "church" tried to come back and tell everyone she was lying. Do they think anyone believes them??
As for the mom, honestly, she seems like a good person who got caught up in a bad group. She moved the girls after the Sea Org incident and left when Leah did. I don't think she's a bad mom, I think she just screwed up and 100% realizes it.

My dh and I watched this last night too. I couldn't get over the church going to ABC to hand deliever a package about Leah. I totally believe everything she said. I already thought Tom Cruise was a creep but this cemented it for me. Kristie Allie is also crazy.

Everything she says is true. I have been to some of their places in Clearwater. I've met kids who have told me that they need more money on some kind of swipe card to become a better person. Kids!
My dad's girlfriend had a whole wall of Hubbard's books and other crap. I believe it is 100% a cult.

I was really shocked at how "far up" she got in the religion, and how all of their courses and teachings cost mucho $$$$$. Ugh, and how they have to file reports on each other as a way of controlling behavior?!?! Cult much?
The whole thing struck me as crazy that she was being persecuted for asking a simple question at Tom cruise's wedding: "hey where's Shelly?"
