2 y/o crying at bedtime
DD has been going to sleep well at bedtime for a long time. She is now deciding she wants to scream and cry at bed time. Has this happened to anyone? I want to know I'm not alone. Do you just leave your LO to cry?

It's funny you mention this, my DD has done this the past 2 nights. She just doesn't want to go to bed. The first time I went up there to make sure she was ok because it's very out of character for her but now, yes, I let her whine.

My son (now 4) has been like this for a while. Now instead of whining, he has a million requests: more water, food, toys, tuck me in again, etc. I typically ignore him. I think it’s relatively normal. My sister’s kids do the same thing.

Re: 2 y/o crying at bedtime
DD is 2 and cries when we're going up to bed. Once we get into the routine... pajamas, brushing teeth, reading her book... she calms down. Sometimes she cries or whines a little in her crib, but I sit in her room with her til she falls asleep- I always have. So generally just saying, you're fine, I'm right here is enough to settle her down. Maybe if you have a monitor that you can speak over you can reassure her? Sitting in the room with her isn't the greatest habit, but eh it works for us, and she falls asleep relatively quickly.

Yes. 22 month old here. Started about two months ago now as long as he can choose what he brings in the crying he’s not crying. I think it’s normal at this stage they are more aware of things. Maybe try changing up the routine a bit. Good luck!

Re: 2 y/o crying at bedtime
My 2 year old does this sometimes (more lately) and after the bedtime routine (brush, books) she can choose some toys or books to have in her crib (with the light off LOL), which helps her transition...she gets tired and lays down eventually.
