2 postitive OPK a week apart?
OK, so this is my first month using OPK and I took a test on the 27th, it was positive, then the 28th it was negative. Well I was having some O type pain so I just took a test, 2 actually and they came out positive w/ a very dark result line. What does this mean? Why did I get a positive a week after another positive? Sorry, I'm so confused. Any ideas? TIA!

it sounds like you got a second surge. it's possible to get a surge and then not ovulate due to stress, illness, travel, etc. when you don't ovulate the first time, your body waits until the stress/illness is gone and then it tries to ovulate again. If you want to get pg get in the bedroom!! Or whatever room you're into !

A positive OPK is only one when the test line is DARKER than the control line. OPKs are not like HPTs... when you see a second line on a HPT you know it is apositive....a lot of people get confused with OPKs and when they see a line they think it is a positive when in fact it is not......
that is why I like digital ones, I know they are more money but will give you an easy positive (no guessing if the line is darker).....I would try those in the future....I would also go by this week's test...when was your AF?

the result line has to be the exact same shade as the test line OR darker! get to BD'ing

Thanks ladies! The test a week ago the lines were exactly the same color, yesterday it was darker. Needless to say we had a fun night
