2 mo old awake all day?
My DS just turned 2 months . This last few day he barely sleeps during the day, he'll fall asleep on and off for 10 min or so then wakes up, most of the time he is awake isn't crying , but just a bit fussy sometimes . at night he wakes up every 4 hrs but doesn't fall asleep till 12 , 1 am. Basically he sleeps at night, eats in the morning, sleeps for about 2 hrs in the morning and then he is awake all day.
Anyone else? I'm thinking it's either bc he sleeps more at night so he isn't tired during the day (?) or something is bothering him even though he isn't always crying or whining when awake...

Re: 2 mo old awake all day?
R u trying to put dc down for naps or waiting for her ques. Dc may be overtired at this point during the day. I would try to put dc down after she has been awake for no linger than two hours. Bring her to where she naps and try your hardest to sooth her to sleep. Get her back in the napping haibit. Rock, bounce, swaddle,, shhhhhh. Dc needs to get back to napping. Too young to be awake that long.

Re: 2 mo old awake all day?
My DS was this way. He would literally go all day with one 10 minute nap. He was very fussy. I realized that he wasn't just falling alseep on his own and I needed to work at it because he was in fact over tired. With my first DS I never had that problem because he would fall asleep with a bottle. At almost 6 months, DS still isn't a great napper but has gotten better. He is a big fan of cat napping still.
ETA: My DS has reflux.
I would def try to put your LO down for a nap after he is awake for 2 hours.

Re: 2 mo old awake all day?
Thank you . I have tried "helping" him fall asleep but nothing. We have a ped appt on Monday so I will talk to him , I think he is teething, but then again he sleeps fine during the night and in the morning, but after the long morning nap that's it, barely sleeps any all day. I keep telling myself at least he sleeps at night, my DD never slept, day or night but I don't want him to be tired all dy...

I would definitely keep trying and maybe vary the awake time. See if he'll go down after an hour, if not maybe try every 15 minutes or so to see what he'll do. DD rarely went more than an hour until she was 5 months (except in the evenings when she was up longer but was fussy).

Have you tried wearing him? My DS passes out before I can even finish wrapping him. He can go all day without sleeping too, but it's a usually when he's having a food allergy reaction and he's too overtired to get himself to stay asleep. Wearing him works every single time. I also run the vent fan in the kitchen for white noise to help him stay asleep, or the blow dryer on cool

Take him for a walk..or car ride. Dc needs to get used to napping again.
