1st vomiting experience...what to do?
DS vomited up his undigested dinner...I have the actual pea on my pants to prove it...tried to give him pedialyte and that came up too.
He doesn't have a fever and otherwise is okay except for being tired...do I try to get him to sleep without giving him anything...do I try water? I have no idea...we went almost 11 months without this.

Re: 1st vomiting experience...what to do?
I hope he doesn't have the stomach virus my DD has, but it sounds similar. She has had it for six days already! My ped suggested pedialyte in small doses (like one ounce at a time), and once they can handle that, step up the amount. He has me using soy formula for the time being because she was constantly vomiting her usual dairy formula. She is not doing well with baby food but I am focusing more on fluids.
Just keep an eye out that he doesn't get dehydrated, that he still has wet diapers and tears when he cries.

Re: 1st vomiting experience...what to do?
I'd just try to put him down without anything if he will sleep. I remember my doctor telling me to use the medicine dropper and give him 1-2 tsp of pedialyte every 15 minutes or so to see if he would keep that down. After he kept that down, I tried 2 oz. of pedialyte in a bottle and gave it to him in 2 oz increments until the fever was gone.
Call the doctor though - that's why they are on call.

I'd try the Pedialyte and maybe just cheerios and bland stuff like that for a couple of days. I would put him down with nothing because if he doesnt feel well he will sleep.
