1st Birthday presents questions
Did you open gifts at DC's 1st birthday?
Did DC open them or did you have to do it for the most part?
If you opened, did you let DC open their gifts from you and DH? 
The things you don't think about or pay attention to until after becoming a parent

No
Did DC open them or did you have to do it for the most part?
DC helped a little but did most of it, so could keep record and put away toys to itermitently give them (so not overwhelmed and have something "new" for a while)
If you opened, did you let DC open their gifts from you and DH?
Not really, just a few opened by DC to take pics but didn't wrap gift from us.

We didn't open the presents during the party. We had them all on a party table and opened them later that night.
We had DS open one present at a time while DH and I wrote down what present came from who. Did this for the thank you cards.

we didnt open gifts at the party - we had 100 people there, would have taken forever.
We opened a few a day after the party with DD as to not overwhelm her, She helped a little but we did most of it.

We opened them the day after at my house i think while he was sleeping lol
we had a 120 people party and it was insane

We opened them all at home. It was 102 degrees the dayof his party, we were NOT opening gifts. Plus we had a fairly large party and it would have taken a while.
By 1 he was pretty well able to open them all on his own and enjoy it.
We gave him a Wagon and we didnt wrap it and a FP ouncy Zebra thingy and we put that together and didnt wrap it either. I prefer to give gifts already put together so they dont have to wait for you to open the box, put it together, batteries etc.

We did open gifts but only b/c it was a really small party and my ILs wanted to see the gifts and we didn't want everyone coming back to our apt after the party
We opened all the gifts...Kaydyn really had no idea what was going on.
My DH was out of work when it was her bday so we just got her two outfits and a ride on toy. We didn't wrap the ride on toy so she really didn't have anything to open from us.

I do not plan on opening presents at the party. With 41 adults it can be a little overwhelming for Ryan. So we will probably do it the day after. And even then just a couple of presents at a time.
We always wrap gifts to Ryan from us.

Wow-I'm glad I asked. I didn't want to be rude by not, or bore people or overwhelm Syd by opening 
I am surprised. I thought most people opened. I must say I am relieved though!
