1st Birthday photo shoots...when?
Did you have them done? I thought maybe early , they will be 10 months...and maybe use pics for the invites, or wait another month so they look truly like one yr olds.
The invites are gonna be kinda colorful/funny and the pics may not really fit into that anyway ( the theme) ..
WDYT?

Me personally- I wouldn't do them early. I'd do them 1-2 weeks before their birthday. The invites would be my own cute pics of them and my thanks you's would be the birthday cake smash pic. At least that's my plan. 2 months prior is way too early IMO.
Well when is their birthday and when is their party?

I did Reilly's 1st bday shoot within a week of her actual birthday. I really wanted to capture her at that milestone. Heather did a wonderful job of that!

Well when is their birthday and when is their party?
This is what we did. We had her shoot about a week before her actual birthday. On the party invitations we used other pictures of her and used the birthday shoot pictures for her Thank You cards.

I did it about a week & a half before her birthday, though I kinda wish I did them a tad sooner, then we'd have the pics BY her 1st birthday. Oh well. I wanted to capture her at that milestone anyway...that's how I thought it was always done but once I noticed other people doing them sooner I thought, hey, that makes sense too!

we are doing ours about 2 1/2 weeks before her first birthday. DD's bday is during the week, I want to do a family shot or two, and we couldn't do the week before it's my sister-in-laws bday.

I am doing DS pictures 2 weeks before his first birthday so I can use the pictures as "Thank yous" plus we are having a newborn shoot at home with the new baby the week after DS first birthday.
