1st BFN
i know it is only our first month trying, and way too soon to expect anything or get discouraged but my 1st BFN definitely effected me more than i thought.
i had to go to the hospital for injections in my back yesterday, and they took a urine sample to do a pregnancy test before-hand. i already knew it was negative, bc i tested myself the night before (the injections are given while you lay on your stomach over an x-ray machine so they won't do them if your preggo, nor would i chance that myself)... but when the nurse came out and blurted "you're not a mommy"... i couldn't help but get tears in my eyes 
now i just wish AF would hurry up and get here so i can really figure out my cycles and get this ball rollin.

Maybe I am being sensitive but that seems like a pretty mean way to tell you it was negative 
I got my first BFN last month and it made me really sad too
I hope you get your BFP soon hun

I was thinking the same thing. She could have simply said the test was negative.

My first BFN upset me more than I thought it would as well.
And just to warn you, they don't get any easier.
And that nurse should really stick to professional terminology. Clearly, she wasn't thinking and didn't mean to be insensitive, but still, wake up!
I'm sorry you had a bad day.

i thought maybe i was just being sensitive... i'm glad you understand. she was just so cheery & sing-songy when she said it too. like, it didn't even occur to her that maybe that's not the news i was looking for. i mean, i'm not a teenager, i'm 30 years old and married. she could have thought before she spoke and just said the test was negative... or not say anything at all. i mean obv, they wouldn't throw me on the xray machine if it was positive
