1st appt with Dr. B-what can I expect?

Hey girls
I'm getting anxious (and a little obsessive) about my first appt with dr b.

a little history of me...long cycles with either absent or late O. OB wants to put me on clomid.

If i take the clomid i am assuming he will do bloodwork and sono?

The only other testing we have had is CD21 bloodwork and a SA.

What else can I expect?

At my first appt, Dr. B went over my history and DH's SA. We talked about our options, and the vitamins that DH was taking at the time. He drew blood from me, and did a sono. We had to have a few more tests done (PCOS and glucose bloodwork for me and a DNA fragmentation test and repeat SA for DH) so we "lost" a month because of all of that.

Also, from what I know - Dr. B isn't a fan of clomid - especially for patients with cystic ovaries or PCOS. He'll perscribe Femara instead. If he does for you - go to the FEMARA WEBSITE and print the coupon for the 30 day trial. Bring it with you and he'll fill it out for you. Bring that and the perscription to the pharmacy and you'll pay NOTHING for 30 - 2.5 mg pills. He had me on 5 mg for 5 days so that equals a three month supply for me (which hopefully I don't need !!) Femara isn't covered by my perscription plan, and a 5 day supply would cost $168.

I love Dr.B!! At my first appointment he went over my health history. DH was with me. We developed a rapport really fast! Dr.B is so comforting!!

I didn't get a sono at my first appt but I DID get blood work! Also, Dr.B spoke to my DH and I for almost an hour. He's so patient!!

at my first dr. b appointment we went over history, he did a sono and bloodwork. bloodwork was regular stuff and fasting insulin. DH didn't come with me but dr. b also gave me a prescription and cup for his SA.

he is an amazing doctor, you are in great hands!
