Wanna see me? I'm a soundbite...
I was interviewed for a story on autism and Thomas the Tank Engine. The thing is, the guy who interviewed me was in a rush to meet with me, and I wasn't near my office the day of the interview, so he decided to have the interview outside a starbucks...but in front of a movie theater, which turned out to be very distracting... so then he decided to have the interview in one of those fancy deli places, and I was SO distracted. Everyone else was interviewed in their office or their home. Me, I'm in the middle of a friggin store.... plus, he kept moving me back another hour, another hour, and I had to get ready that day to get to a colleague's wedding, so I was very stressed...

That was really interesting. I passed it along to one of my mom's friends. Her grandson is on the spectrum, pretty severe.

I really didnt know what info he wanted - he was asking very general questions, and was like - just talk about Thomas... I actually said much better things without the "ums" but oh well....
I think I look like I want to finish up and get out of there!!!!

I am just annoyed because I knew I was going to look distracted, and Tedd Carr (who i know) looks all professional in his office with his papers and what not all around him as if he's in a constant state of research

i loved it! my son used to LOVE thomas the tank engine. one christmas i had to spend 1000 on the train set the table and all the trains.. i never knew autistic kids favored him as a toy!!
